Be Diligent and Persistent
You have potentials, talents and skills endowed in you by your Creator. It is imperative upon you to set out with focus, zeal, passion and determination to attain and maximize your purpose in life. Why are you on this earth? You were created to make a contribution, to make your life and someone’s life meaningful and successful, to make your community, your nation and the world a better place. You are responsible to discover your God given mission and cooperate with Him to reach the apex and branch out. You have become the salt of the earth and the light of the world ( Matt 5:14), so go forth in that glory, and let that glory set you on the peak, so you can impact humanity for good.
Therefore, do not waste any time on frivolities. Press forward with your dream, the vision is for an appointed time, even if it tarries, it shall surely come (Habakkuk 2:3). But you must give it your best effort, time and prayer because “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might” (Ecc 9:10a)..
You can do it, your goals are attainable; “For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened” (Matt 7:8). Do you recall the parable of the widow and the unjust judge? She persisted at knocking on his door until he opened and granted her petition (Luke 18: 1-8).
Emphatically refuse to give up on yourself, on God and your God given goals. You must press forward, make progress and not regress or go backward. Gather all the necessary resources, use them and advance your vision, you are bound to stand tall and strong. “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings: he will not stand before obscure men” (Prov 22:29). You must make progress, you are bound to be rich and excel in life; poverty is not your portion, so practice diligence. “He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich” ( Prov 10:4).
In practicing diligence, you should rely and seek the Lord for guidance, illumination, wisdom, favor and protection. You know that He rewards them that diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6). You must build, live and move in Him because unless the Lord builds, the builder builds in vain.
If you are not yet reconciled to Christ, pray this prayer: “Dear Lord, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son. He died and rose from the dead for the remission of my sins. Come now Jesus into my life, I welcome you forever as my Lord and Savior. Amen.”
